Life Update/ Operation 21

As I’ve mentioned before, this blog is supposed to be a place where I write about everything my friends are sick of hearing me talk about. Today’s post is going to be about my personal life, so if you’re not super into that, keep a look out for Friday’s post instead! Also, if you want to hear about Operation 21, skip to the third paragraph.

This week, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text from my boyfriend, who as you know, has been away for the past month without a phone. I have been on cloud 9 being able to talk to him again, but I am also thankful for the time we had apart. People may think that is crazy for me to say, but having time away from people you care about really helps you realize how much you  appreciate them and need them in your life. I wouldn’t want to relive the situation again, but it definitely brought us closer together, and strengthened our relationship more than I thought it would.

On a different note, I also have started to get back into working out, but need a serious change in my diet. So far, I have taken two spin classes this week, and made it a goal of mine to go to three classes throughout this week. I have been feeling amazing after moving my body, but haven’t  been doing as well in the food department. I have been eating foods with no nutritional value, and I wake up many mornings not feeling so hot. I know what I need to do, but for some reason, have lost my will power when it comes to junk food. Not fun! I wanted to share this with you because this is something I want to work on, and by posting it, I am holding myself accountable.

Starting on Monday, I am starting Operation 21. Operation 21 is a challenge I’m going to be doing to get myself in better shape before my 21st birthday. This challenge will include me working out 4 times a week, and cleaning up my diet a crap ton.  I am going to stay away from all white starches, and attempt to cut out all sweets from my diet up until my 21st birthday, which is on October 8th. I think by having a start and end date, I am more likely to stick with it.

Please let me know if any of you would be interested in doing Operation 21 with me. I would love to have a support system! Also, please leave your favorite healthy recipes in the comments below, so I can try them out and spice up my foods. As always, thank you for supporting My Loquacity. Those of you who take the time out of your days to read my posts mean the world to me!

  1. I am the same way that you are when it comes to dieting. I know that working out is not a big struggle for me, but I am terrible when it comes to food. It doesn’t help when I have the biggest sweet tooth ever! You have a good goal going on for you. I hope it works out! I will cut out sweets until your birthday. I’ll let you know if I make it!
