Becca Backlight Filter Face Primer Review

A few weeks ago, I picked up the Becca Backlight Filter Face Primer at Sephora, and have been  religiously using it ever since. I had heard great things about this product from my sister and from various reviews online, and needed to see how it worked for myself. After using this primer for several weeks, I think I have an understanding of how this product works, and hope that this review is helpful to those of you who are considering purchasing it!

When I first saw the Backlight Filter Face Primer, I was attracted to it, but thought that it looked like a bottle of straight glitter that I would be putting on my face. Although I love glitter, that’s not really  the look that I want to achieve on a daily basis. I decided to try this product out despite my thoughts, and am so glad that I gave it a shot!. It makes my skin look glowy and amazing, and keeps my makeup on throughout the day. At 38 dollars, this primer is a little bit more expensive than others, but definitely worth it.

I wear this product underneath my foundation every day to achieve a glowy, natural look. I use about two pumps, dot it on my forehead, chin, and cheeks, and rub it in with my fingers. You can immediately see a difference in my complexion. It lasts all day, and doesn’t make my skin look oily. Although I, personally, have normal, combination skin, I have read that this product has worked for people with oily skin as well.

Not only is this product great for under foundation, but it also works amazingly for days where you don’t feel like doing a full face of makeup. I have used this product after putting on my moisturizer, and have gotten a ton of compliments on my skin. This product also works well under a powder highlighter. Although these aren’t recommended usages for this product, I have discovered that they work well, and find that finding various uses for products increases their value.

Overall, this has very quickly become one of my favorite products. It brings life to my skin, even on my sleepiest days.
